Is there really something in the genetic make-up of the female which make them talk almost non-stop....consistantly?
I am asking because, I took my 5 year old grandaughter on a short walk today. Not once did she quit talking, other than to gasp for air!
I am assuming that this is not nurture, therefore it must be nature.
Unless you know otherwise?

@TheRamblingMan Great topic! Yes, it starts very young! I worked with pre-school aged children for years and I also raised a son and daughter. When toddlers as young as 2 are playing/pretending, the girls usually use language twice as much as boys. Boys tend to make more noises instead of words: like car sounds, animal sounds, etc.

@BloggerDi That's interesting.
As for the boy's sounds, I guess that never changes throughout life! lol

I guess yeah.. girls tend to talk more than boys.. I don't know the reason why..
And I have a cousin who talks non-stop and we play a game with her "who can stay quiet for a long time" it totally works .
