As I have mentioned in one of my recent posts, the puppies of the Belgian Malinois we have at my parents' house, which is my nephew’s pet, have all already grown big.
However, when I stayed there overnight since last Friday to Saturday, I noticed that one of them is in an isolated cage not in their made place as you can see in the caged place in the background of the picture.
He was said to have vomited and had diarrhea with blood. So, they medicated him for his diarrhea and isolated him but he still died.
So, when the other one showed that he too have blood on his poop, he was brought to the veterinarian. He was with parvovirus.
Thus, he was left there at the vet to be taken cared of. He was in dextrose.
Oh, how sad and frantic my nephew is. I hope the other dog will survive and the rest of the doggies will not have it too.

i think you have to thoroughly clean and disinfect the whole area where the dogs are to avoid infection.
i hope the sick one survives. parvo can be touch and go.

Thankfully the puppy dont have distemper because dogs rarely survive that illness. That puppy have more chance of survival.

the veterinarian said that parvovirus is from the soil. that is why when our dogs go out to pee and poop, we are always on the lookout.
i hope the dog will be treated. why don't you add some sugar in the water? that is still glucose. when the dog gets back home.

@SIMPLYD grass i think is fine, my lady, but when they dig in on the soil, i believe that is not allowed, because as what the veterinarian here told us, parvovirus thrives in the soil.

The dog is okay now. Yes, parvovirus is very contagious. the food pan and all the area where he wasted are cleaned well. Besides, he was isolated when he was observed to have blood in his feces.
