Technology making our eyes worse ?

Trinidad And Tobago

Its been said that staring at computer screens and tablets and phones can make eyes work differently (or less or in a odd manner) leading to us not being able to see precisely. There are ways to reduce and correct the damage but we really cant avoid our devices. Any thoughts on how we can lessen the damage a bit more?

we can control our selves from using the gadgets all the time that is the cheapest way, self control but i hear others using special glasses to minimize or even get rid of the bad effects of staring at screens

ive heard of the lenses that could help with looking at screens for long amounts of time and self control really is the cheapest best approach.

I think there is some eye wears that can be used. But it is not commonly available in the market. We can just limit ourselves.

yeah..."There's a way when there's a will".Don't worry. For this problem, natural remedy is to see sun for at least 15 minutes at early morning in order to get Vitamin D which is good for eye. If we do it regularly there's no need for specs too. While working on computer, check that you eyes are 4 to 5 inches above the screen. Also adjust brightness in your device. Don't sit for long time.Take break at regular intervals. This also prevent you from backbone pain.Hope this helps.

the monitor should have the screen guard to protect our eyes from the UV rays.

This is good to know. I remember back when all computer monitors were CRT and that was why they were selling screen protectors to block UV rays. I was using my computer for a long time with no protection until I found out about the rays from the screen. Good information to share.

@ridingbet The protectors are not all that expensive: Some cost more and some cost less, depends on where you buy them. Staples sells them and Best Buy and Office Depot as well as Amazon might be a good place to look for one.
Glare from a computer screen isn't just bad for your eyes, it's bad for your productivity. NuShield's anti-glare screen protectors won't just reduce annoying glare, they'll preserve the integrity of your screen.
