Today was national holiday in my country and we decided to celebrate with a picnic in the park.
The weather was warm and sunny and it was the perfect day to have a picnic. On this day, we traditionally go to the fields to find flowers and weave flower wreaths.
This local tradition comes from the ancient years. People make flower wreaths on the first of May to decorate the doors of their houses, as a way to welcome the nature in their homes.

Was it with friends or just family? What kind of flowers did you pick - a nice tradition.

Labor Day is international holiday, you are right! This tradition with the flower wreaths is from the ancient years and it is being celebrated on the same day! The nature is beautiful at this time of the year. I hope the warmer days have officially arrived to over there too!

This is something we did as children, but it seems in the US it might be a forgotten 'celebration' or event now @besweet

Did you weave a flower wreath for your front door?!
