My cat skylar was taken to a pet hospital 2 days ago because she has a mass in her uterus. It burst and she was bleeding and leaking pus for about 6 hours. I thought she was giving birth cause her belly was round, gained weight and was eating a lot. Turned out she wasn't. The vet put her in antibiotics for 2 weeks then we'll take her back to the vet for an operation. But for now, she's back at home after 2 days confinement. She's so happy she couldn't stop being sweet to everyone.

Poor thing, I hope the vet can remove the mass and Skylar can feel well very soon.

I know. She is still in a lot of pain but she is doing so well. Eating and drinking and doing her business as usual but I know that she is still in pain because she's still leaking pus and blood from time to time.

You're lucky to have caught this early. My dear sweet kitty had a "mammary gland tumour" a couple years ago but I hadn't noticed it until it was too late. I did take her to the vet, and sprang for an operation, but she didn't pull through.

She got the kiss(es). The baby angel's been through a lot but I really hope that once she gets operated, she'll come through. She's a strong sweetheart and I really hope she can stay with us for a really long time.

She did. The day she came home with us, she couldn't stop meowing. As if she's telling us not to take her to the vet again. She was so lonely there.

We all are happy that she's home :) but she still needs to take antibiotics for 2 weeks before the vet operates so she can pull through.

@Shavkat I sure hope so too.. she's lost a lot of weight and I'm trying to get here health back before the surgery so she'll have higher chances of surviving it.
