Not only Soldiers have PTSD

May 7, 2017 12:29am CST
Many people think that PTSD is a military mental disorder but it's not. Everybody can develop PTSD that experienced a extremely traumatic event. From a very bad accident, to natural disasters, child abuse, domestic violent relationship and so much more. People need to realize that. Even kids or family member of a person that has PTSD can develop second hand PTSD.

But we need to make sure that the families and friends get more information also. It can get dangerous for family members, children and even family pets.

Thank you but this is something that needs to be discussed. Because not really a lot of people know about PTSD. And worse they don't know how to live with somebody that has PTSD. It is not only a horrible disorder for the suffering person but also for the people around. If they don't know how to deal with the symptoms.

My friend has PTSD. Prior to diagnosis she had a very difficult married life but yet she continued to bear the atrocities committed on her. After 11 years of marriage she started feeling sick and we thought she was crazy. But it was not the case. And we felt sorry thinking like that too. She was diagnosed with PTSD
