Being an Early Bird?

Are you an early bird? Do you wake up really early in the morning? I have been reading a book about accomplishing your day earlier. I honestly am more of a night owl. I prefer to stay up as late as possible to work on things. The book that I have been reading has given good points on how we are able to be more productive if we start our day early and accomplish quit a bit in the morning, it brought out that if we rise early it also is likely to help us to be more productive throughout the day. I hope to work at this and to see how much it will help my life and improve my goals. Have you found yourself to accomplish more if you wake up early?

I stay up late as much as possible. It's easier to stay up later and enjoy the quiet night than wake up earlier.

I'm definitely a night owl. I often think
my body clock was set to the wrong time
zone!
While it's not ideal I get more done
working through the night than I
ever get during the day. If I'm
working I start at 5.30 am and
I hate it I seem to take forever just
to get out of the house!
On days off work if I get up early
I just end up messing around
and wasting time rather than
getting started.

@essjayd I too take forever to leave the house. I try all the time to do better about leaving the house but it always takes me awhile to leave. I'm hoping this summer when I start my new job that I will be able to get a better schedule started. On your days off I'm glad that you are able to mess around and do what you want. I think that we need that down time sometimes.

@katherinerose123 I'm glad I'm
not alone in taking forever to get
out of the house in the morning!
My partner can be awake, showered,
dressed and out the door in 25 min.
It takes me the same amount of time
to do but I mess around between
every step so it takes me at least
1hr to get out the door

@evansonmuhungi that is a saying I need to work on remembering. I hope to improve in this regard and that my waking up earlier will benefit my family.

@StephenRay I have heard a lot of people who rise early comment about how they feel less pressed for time later when they are able to get things done earlier. I'm looking forward to doing a lot better about waking up earlier. I think though when I wake up earlier I will have to go to bed early so that I won't be exhausted throughout the day.

4:30am in the morning is really early. Do you find that you end up going to bed early because you wake up so early? I will soon have to start getting up at 5am and I hope that it will not be a hard adjustment.

I get up around 8am on most days. I do get a lot accomplished in the morning. By afternoon I start running out of energy a bit.

@n.j I'm glad that you are able to wake up early even if you stay up late. I often find myself burning both ends of the candle so to speak by staying up late and then having to wake early. I hope though that I will benefit from waking up early and seeing things in my life progress.

@ssivassubrahmanyam I hope so. I'm hoping that it will be a positive thing. I keep telling myself that I need to keep a positive attitude about it and to continue to work harder.

I was a night owl but my college life changed me n made me a early bird person. From my experience i can say being a early bird is better than a night owl. I get more time to interact with others n now i live in a more real world.

@harshitagupta I'm glad to hear that your college experience helped you to wake up earlier. It is true that when we are up earlier we are more likely to spend time with and talk to others.
