We were searching for the dead rat ...as my house had foul smell of it.

As you all know through my previous posts I live in a commercial area where there are very few houses but are godown and shops so having rats in the locality is very common & our house is not an exception. Some of neighbors keep eatable mixed with some chemical at the corners of their shops and godowns which rats eat and die , not necessary they die at the place where they consume it. In past we have thrown many dead rats from our house after rigorous searching. Yesterday also when I came home from office my wife and my kids were waiting for me as foul smell was coming under the bed , they wanted me to help them to search it and throw it. But that was irritating as we all did lots of hard work but could not find it and smell vanished next day . I didn't understand what happened. Had it happened with you that you worked so hard for something like this and your hard works gets in vain.?

It certainly isn't pleasant coming home after a hard day's work to that bit of bother. Cats tend to keep mice away - you could get one or two.

It must be so incovenient for you to live there. Returning home from work and having to face that is not convenient

Goodness, how is it that you do not feel the smell anymore but you have not found the rat? May be a cat?

@sjvg1976 I am not sure a cat would search for it. They like to chase the rats but when they are alive.
