HOT DISCUSSION

Yesterday morning when I checked into Mylot, my mind was blank - I just couldn't think of a topic for my usual daily post - then I remembered the advice shared by a Bubblews member some years ago. He said whenever he couldn't think of something to write, he would go through the pixabay pictures and was sure to find at least one photo which would trigger a memory or capture the imagination.
Well, I did just that and the first picture which caught my eye was that of a very surprised and frightened woman looking into the gaping jaws of an angry alligator. Bingo! - I immediately thought of the many dangers which we may face in our daily life from both animal and human predators .Those thoughts resulted in my discussion "Dangerous", which reached the top of the Hot discussions list when last I checked.
So anytime you are at a loss for something to write about - check out the pixabay pictures, you never know what the result may be.

I rarely write discussions...less than one per month probably.
Normally I just think of something and write it but if I feel like posting a discussion and can't think of anything to write I've got over 100 ideas written down in my notebook

I so relate for lack of time. When I'm away from the computer, there's a lot of topics that come to my mind but sometimes I do experience a mental block. That's when I start reading.

Really thankful to you for giving us a great idea. Mine is, I just go through the newspaper and may get anything to initiate a discussion. Now a days I am trying to reach payout that is why I am eager to start one discussion in a day. Otherwise I was just happy on responding to others alone.

@Kandae11 Vanny, DJ, and I are working on a YouTube of a song I sing. Have you seen our other YouTubes? On those I use mostly my own pictures. But on this one, we're going a bit further afield, since the song involves snow and trains and I don't have a lot of snow or train pictures.

Back when I studied writing for publication (long before the internet and even desktop computers) I was taught to start reading the phone book. You will become so bored you will think of something to write.
So you were on the Big B as well. Many of us ended up over here on myLot.

I do that with my blogs now, well the ones that are not paying that I still keep up. If I got a photo I can write.
