And so the day began brightly well Everything in order, I had just met my uncle a month ago... all in good condition, brighter life... we had a nicer talk, making all the conversations from family, to normal live conditions, school et cetera... but this never lasted.... even my imaginations would still remind me how he adorned that day.. but he is no more now...he has just passed on...I really couldn't fathom about everything... he had been diagnosed with acute malaria a day ago... and he succumbed a few hours later...

Malaria is a common disease in the tropics, especially along the lake where more of the anopheles mosquito are bred. it couldn't be so acute at once but if not diagnosed on time, it can be so worse

@amadeo exactly, you are right. it killed most of the soldiers. actually, it was during this time the quinine was invented to cure malaria.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your uncle. It's very hard to deal with losing someone especially when the illness was so sudden. I hope you find a little comfort in remembering him the way he was when you last met and other good memories of times you enjoyed together.
