A Danish brewery is using 50,000 liters of urine to produce a new beer called. "Pisner"
The beer does not actually contain human waste, but is produced from fields of malting barley which are entirely fertilized with human urine
I think I prefer the old fashioned horse manure myself,I don`t know why but the thought of human waste being used is really off putting to me

Our wastewater treatment facility processes sewage and sells the solid manure to local farmers who spread it on their fields. So, essentially, human poop is being used to fertilize local food crops. The liquid waste is treated and used for irrigation.

I think for me it was the way the original article was written, there was no mention of water treatment, just that it was collected from the urinals and used on the malted barley,If it is treated first no problem as everything in nature is recycled eventually.

@shebish That is true. I'm sure it must be treated to prevent the spread of disease.
