Apparently there is an excuse for a man not listening to a woman,that is because a man’s cognitive function is weakened when talking to a women . Us women however have no scientific excuse to fall back on for not listening to a man.

hang on, so if a man's cognitive function is NOT weaken in a certain conversation, then the other person can't be a woman? (I read of a case, a man engaged three times unknowingly, to three beautiful transvestites. This cognitive function should have helped him!)

I suppose as he was unaware of the fact that they were not women he would have responded to them as if they were.. Three times ?

Some men have no cognitive functioning what so ever. And women need to listen to their own inner voice(gut) also.

I haven't thought of this before. I only think that they (the men as well as children) have selective hearing.

I think selective hearing is more like it, if the subject interests my husband he is all ears if not he just sort of glazes over, well no ones perfect

I am not sure. I do agree that some men are not a good listener. Others are a good listener too. These people are sensitive to the needs of women.
