Now before all the people who love it attack me i gotta say....
I found LaLa Land very boring, it was a decent enough film but i really do not understand what all the fuss is about.
Lion was a much better film then LaLa Land as was many other films this year.
Did you like LaLa Land or did you to find it a big boring?

I haven't even heard of that movie. I watched Mr. Brooks last night with Kevin Costner, William Hurt and Demi Moore it was really good.

I thought it was terribly slow moving, there was far to many montages, for a musical they sure didn't pick people with great voices, Ryan Gosling's charachter sure was kind of rude, i mean who's answer to the response "I Hate Jazz" as forcing her to go to a Jazz concert every date, and for a movie partly about Jazz, where are all the black musicians whom primarily popularize Jazz.

I feel the same like you I know Lala Land is a very popular movie and many people seem to like it. At first I looked forward to it so much. But it disappointed me because I also didn't understand it. I could not feel for it. I even couldn't feel for the music inside.

I didn't understand all the hype either. I saw previews and I was not that impressed. But a lot of people sing its praises. Won't be the first time the public mass ever disagreed with me.

HAHA, I forgot for a second that LaLa Land is a movie, and not southern California (specifically LA).
I haven't seen either movie... I generally wait until they're on netflix before I watch a movie, haven't seen a movie on the big screen in a long time —too expensive.

@chrissbergstrom I should check the library(ies) here. I haven't been to the library since they moved the branch I was using. It was a few years ago, ugh.

I haven't seen La La Land and suspect I would agree with you. It never seemed all that interesting from the clips I saw. Lion has a strong emotional human story.

Yes and that's what I like in filmmis strong emotional investment in the characters and a story anyone can understand.... Lala Land is overrated and did not deserve the awards it got.
