Are You A Pessimist, An Optimist Or A Realist?

I heared this story from a friend that a pessimist is one who only see the darkness inside the tunnel; while an optimist see the light at the end of the tunnel; while a realist does not only see the darkness inside the tunnel and the light at the end of tunnel but see what goes beyond the end of the tunnel as well.

I believe that I am a realist.
I try not to let pessimism get the best of me. but there are certain situations it rears it's ugly head.
I find Optimism is great. Give you hope and helps you plow thru situations.. I try to see the world thru both of these conditions

@magnumopus I believe it is healthier than being overly pessimistic.

@Elisa1234 It's alright for being a pessimist, an optimist or a realist involves no moral judgment upon the person nor does it reflect how "good' or how "bad" we are as a person.

in that case i guess you would call me a realist. i see all that but at times, i am pretty much a pessimist also cause sometimes there is no light any can see
