Making Homemade Bread

I have been restless since I woke up this morning. I am not quite sure why. I think it might be because I am starting to feel better.
Anyway, I looked around for something to do that is not physically demanding and came upon the idea of making some homemade bread.
It has been quite a while since I have done so. My husband has been mentioning it from time to time and I am thinking that now is a good time to surprise him.
He loves his homemade bread and will be surprised that I made it today. He has been so good about helping around the house since I have been under the weather that I think it would be a nice thing to do.
I typically make 6 loaves at a time because it goes so quickly.
So, what is your day going to be like today? Are you doing anything special?

My husband would be the size of an elephant if I baked every day, once he starts eating it he keeps eating it. I like the bread the first day, after that I typically will toast a piece but don't really eat a lot of bread. I think it's great that you always have the fresh home baked bread.

My grandmother used to make home made bread once a week or so. She also made biscuits and sometimes some sweets. I remember my Uncle would come for his visit(often just happened to show up on bread day. LOL) and he would get a thick piece with real butter and plenty of honey.

I typically make bread for holidays....as you say it can be addictive. I also use it for making good filling french toast and for the best bread pudding you can get.

Wow! That's great to have home made bread. I don't often make the bread because I often fail it. The bread is not as good as I expected. And it also spends a long time for me to make it and this is why I usually do it in the weekends.

Yum, if I make homemade bread, it's almost always pumpkin bread. Today is kind of yucky out so we're not doing much. Might make some brownies later.
