First the bad news, then the good

We have a motor-home in Ireland which is parked up at our son’s rented place. In Ireland, older vehicles have to be checked every twelve months. Our son was perfectly happy to take it to be licensed before we arrived. However, being who he is, he has only just taken it to be checked and we arrive next Monday. Well, he rang tonight to say it failed the test. Some of the flooring needs replacement. If it were here, we’d be able to tackle the repairs ourselves.
We were pretty stunned for half an hour or so but then our son rang back with good news. The garage where the test takes place can do the repairs there and for what seems a moderate cost.
As soon as we arrive off the plane we need to take the vehicle to the garage and hopefully three days later we can pick it up, repaired, licensed and ready to go. All's well that ends well!
The photo shows the GPS and the hairpin bends we were facing going through Bavaria. Vince’s socks are drying under the GPS.

That's a great relationship there - hairpin bends and a clothes line. Take care. Those hairpin bends could be quite daunting. We have had those when we were riding in buses good old years going to our native place.

There is always a minor issue or two - at least this one is in the process of being taken care of.

@JudyEv i used to dread travelin' those roads somewhat. ya ne'er knew when somebody with a pontoon boat 'r a trailer full 'f round bails 'twas right 'round the next bend. no shoulders - jest steep drop off'n one side, a mountain'n the other. i'm gigglin' o'er the bike :)

@crazyhorseladycx Many of the roads in Scotland and Ireland are one-lane with places to pull-off every few hundred yards. Your roads sound pretty awful. What state did you grow up in?

Glad you got the situation figured out. Hey, mention of Ireland made me think of your bass playing son. Have your heard our latest video (sorry to self-promote)? It's a special one for me because I sing and play bass at the same time, which is hard for me. I only started playing bass a few years ago and usually grab my guitar if it's my turn to sing a song.

I can't find where you put the clip to the Swedish polka but it is a pretty tune. A lot of that celtic/polka stuff does go on and on a bit. If I were playing, I don't think I'd know when to stop but I guess it's something that comes with practice.

I have so many discussions too although I do try to read and respond to some each time I log on. We can only do as much as we're able.
