Last night at 10, President Duterte declared Martial Law in Mindanao. Our city, Cagayan de Oro is located in Northern part in Mindanao. In the morning we were so shocked when our neighbors called me through the window that we are on Martial law. This happens because of the existing war in Marawi City, 3rd city from our city. ISIS militants entered Mindanao and some areas in Visayas especially Bohol. . We are afraid here. We have to do extra care of ourselves. This Martial Law may end 60 days from now or up to one year. The problem of our brother Muslims in Muslim areas in Mindanao is they are helping and keeping in their homes the terrorists. It was also learned from authorities that MSUIIT, Marawi city hoarded some terrorists instead of reporting them to the military. Sometimes, I want to say, Muslims are menace in our society. We no longer stay outside, all must be at home before 8 for teens and 10 for adults. May all these terrorists be eliminated in Mindanao. There is no place to hide here.Philippines is a very small country only its population that is big. Pray for our safety.Thank you guys. Image by Pixabay

@carexing25 They keep on denying but my cousins are military officials. They told us IS are here in Mindanao. They already had attacked Bohol last month. They believed there are people in the higher office that financed these bad people. We are now on red alert post to post.

@AkoPinay I have also watched the video of the authorities earlier this morning, clarifying that "there is no ISIS" ..from what i understood, it was just isis inspired as they are using the isis flag, but it has also been reported long ago that maute group were not recognized members of ISIS.. however, let us not bee too complacent..

I do hope you'll be safe and all your countrymen other than the radical ISIS terrorists. I hope they are able to bring the ISIS followers to justice.

@TiarasOceanView Thanks , friend, that is a real story. Though we are far from the war scene, we are also affected for there is long traffic due to inspection in police detachment center almost 45 minutes traffic. I am afraid during class days I might be late to work. We have to wake up here so early to avoid congested traffic from bridge and police centers.

Yes I saw that your president cut short his visit to Russia to go back because of this crisis. It is very wrong that the terrorist have so much control there. I hope your country can get them out for good. You, the innocent people should not have to suffer like this I have been watching about it on all sources and here also:
