Nowadays, children are not that curious enough to do some outdoor activities. When I was still in my younger years, I had tried to climb a guava tree. My siblings, cousins and I had our memories in climbing and harvesting some guavas on a tree. It is so simple to throw the fruit from a tree while the others catching by bare hands or lifting the bottom of our shirts to catch it.
I was having a class online and was surprised with student’s question.
“Have you tried to climb a tree?”
I thought he was playing innocent of not doing such outdoor activity. But he looks so serious and I answered “yes.”
“How about you, guys?”

we had several trees. we climbed the sampalok (tamarind) tree and mango tree. however, i do know of children who slipped or fell from tree branches that broke, which is the risk when climbing trees.

@hereandthere Accidents can really happen. I can still remember my mother shouting on top of her lungs and asking us to go down. She's holding her slipper at that time.lol

I agree. Some girls are the catcher of the fruits before. There is a sudden flashback about this. A young lady whom I had interested with gave me the biggest green mango fruit from their backyard. She had climbed on the tree. I appreciated the gesture.

I can climb a tree. I haven't done it in years but I enjoyed climbing trees from guava to a mango tree. The only thing I'm having difficulty was climbing down.

@Shavkat I usually scraped my knees but get down by myself. That time, we have this silent agreement that if you climb a tree you must go down by yourself too.

@Slayqueen I do agree on that. It is not that difficult for the locals who live in the province.

@CaseyRoss9966 I agree. Even in my family, the younger generations are not active as we are before.

@Shavkat Yes, I did. I believe I am one of the last generations to actually be kids when we were kids and be made to do things outside.

We used to climb the
trees in our local park usually
to hang ropes from them so we
could have a swing over the stream!
We also used to climbed people's
trees to steal apples!
I know a few of my friends kids who
still do stuff like this but most kids
would rather stay home and
play video games!
