My daughters aged 5 and 6. today took 8 eggs out from refrigerator. added spices to make Indian style omelette. Then called me to cook. I was happy on one side that girls has getting big. on the other hand I was in worry, they have messed up so many things. kitchen was in bad shape more over I make omelette for them with maximum 2 eggs each or boiled eggs. I have stopped eating eggs from quite some time. but for kids I generally bring. How to keep this under my track...... ...as they are very young..... and ....not ready for cooking

Aww that's so sweet, but too young for kitchen now, tell them to visit and watch while you are cooking.

Girls at this age do like to experience what it is like to cook in real. Maybe they got tired playing with their toys But 8 eggs. It's too much much. Have you been able to eat all.of it

Nice that they want to be responsible by helping out but I too would worry about them using the stove.

Eight eggs! . They are eager to learn, just show them the right way - when they are ready. Too young I think to be around a stove.

Yeah...Actually, sharing your kitchen with them encourages their interest in food. It’s also a fun way to encourage healthy eating habits and skills for life.Don't worry...It helps to build their vocabulary skill. For example, when you read a recipe together. Also maths skill when measuring liquid in a jug. Also advise them that they should not cook or try anything new without your presence...Hope this helps

Get a helper to watch them or maybe you just have to bear and watch them yourself cos they will certainly grow past it someday.

I suppose with budding chefs a little mess is expected! At least they take an interest in cooking. A good sign of better things to come!

You will be pleased one day when they can really cook - and without leaving a mess. So it's good if you can also put up with their efforts at the moment.

Five and six is a little young to be cooking but it won't be long before they're doing all the cooking. It's fun teaching kids how to cook but its a messy process.
