With what's going on around us everyday and in almost every part of the world, one could but ask the perennial question as to why there is the presence of evil in this world in the first place?
There are so many faces and manifestation of evilness in this world as if this world is the constant battle ground between Good and Evil. Most of the evilness in this world is man-made or shall we say man's inhumanity towards his or her own kind.
Is it really true that Good always prevail over Evil? or Is it the other way around?

Evil is what we make. So it's all up to us as well how to defeat that.

Moral evil is cause by human actions. It is the action that is reprehensible but is man's nature inherently evil? That is the more important question. Religion's belief in a "God" who is supposedly omnipotent only compound and confuse the issue.

@josie_ Evil is not an abstract idea since it has a counter part in the real world or outside of our mind. There is the actual and physical manifestation of evil that we see and percieve with our own senses. Evil per se is not confine in the "world of idea" but can be seen in the "world of reality".

@josie As I see it human beings are born amoral---neither Good nor Evil but human being in his or her development is much influence by the environment where he/she lives and moves that molds one's personality in the process. Stated otherwise, as for me, no person is born inherently good or inherently evil.

Yeah...I agree. There's more evil exist like Moral Evil, Natural Evil...Moral evil is that human beings commit evil against one another. People lie, cheat, steal, hurt, and more.Natural Evil is defined by the fact that man act against nature like destroying forest, wasting natural resources...Meanwhile Nature getting angry...So Natural disaster like flood, earthquake and so on occur...
Evil and suffering can refer to not only physical pain, but emotional pain too.Evil is nothing but our ignorance.People do wrong thing only because of Ignorance.Once he removed his ignorance then he could see only good things that are existing in the form of God.Also could feel God Presense in everything he see. Always in the end, Only Good things Overcome Evil...

@JediYoda yes bro more or less.. and besides if nothing evil happened in the world, how could we ever appreciate the good? If life was only good with no evil, I honestly think I would get bored.. bad stuff happens for a reason whether we understand exactly why or agree with it.. we are part of a balanced cycle and everything must have balance or everything would crumble

I don't know why there is so much evil in the world. In the long run though, I think good and God prevail.

the idea that good always prevails is wishful thinking and propaganda. Unless we fight hard for what is right the evil will prevail

@arthurchappell Yup, there must always be human effort to fight evil; otherwise evil will destroy all of us in the end.

The concept of evil exists because good exists. If there was no concept of good, then there would be no bad. Likewise, there will be no good if there were no bad. But it may be easier to perceive that evil exists more than good because humans remember bad memories better than good ones.

I believe in the end good will prevail. Right now we all focus so much on the bad. We hear more about the bad than the good which is why it seems like the good is so difficult to find. I blame the media for how we see the bad more than the good. There is a lot of bad but there's a lot of good out there that we don't even hear about.

Evil is present so God can make his strength be felt. Evil will not prevail over good.

There's just evil in the world because of what the people's choices that affects the others. And then the others who aren't strong enough to move on ends up hating as well.

a lot of evils is persistingly happening in the world but I still believe as we are still alive so there must be "Good" is prevailing the "Evils" and that's why we are still alive. evils can never negate the goods...

While there is money and
power in the world there will always
be evil! Sadly it has been this way
since the beginning of time and
always will be.
I still believe there is more good than
evil in the world. Unfortunately until
we unite as one world and one race
to stand against the evil nothing will
change.
