Human nature is said to be the general psychological characteristics, feelings and behavior traits of humankind which is considered to be shared by all humans.
What's your own personal definition of human nature?
Is human nature really the same everywhere regardless of race, nationality, religion, sex,age or status in life?
Does human nature has something to do with one's concept of good and evil?

yes to a large extent it even shows here on
my lot as a , mom in Russia and one in
Italy and one here in the US all share the
same sets of worries about their own kids.
that is shared human nature
Bu t there are exceptions like hate thats so
intense the person kills that to me is not
human nature.

@Hartley Are you talking about the sort of hate that a terrorist harbors or some sort of an ideological fanatics who is willing to kill just to achieved their goals?

To me, and this is no science, is that to be human, one must have some sense of compassion and spirit.
Lack of these two components borders on the less than human shall we say.
Just my thoughts.

@TiaraOceanView Yes you are right I believe in the Human Spirit not in the religious sense of the word but in the human beings ability to transcend himself or herself and human beings capacity for "goodness".

@magnumopus Yes that is a good synopsis of what I also meant by spirit. Not the religious dogma or ideology.

I would classify human nature as that which is called basic survival instinct and a desire to reproduce. Most people seek the same things, food, shelter, companionship, and if these three things are met, people can seek out more spiritual and philosophical ideas. Such as a search for truth, purpose and a higher order of conscience. Just my 2 cents.

I think where human nature is more or less a blend of everyone's mindset into one. Luckily there is many outsiders who either get alienated or alienate themselves from group think, so they can be the voice of reason in human nature, if that makes any sense.

Yes the human nature has something to do with the concept of good and evil. The moment Adam and Eve sinned we were given the ability to pick good from evil.
