Video games are becoming more and more violent nowadays. We have many children/adults who are addicted those video games and exhibit aggresive behaviour. In some murder cases the muderers were found to be addicted to those games. Do you believe that violent video games makes people more aggressive and hostile.

I think it is possible, but I honestly feel that there has to be some element of violence within the person to carry it out already.
I know of many who play those games and never do any violence to others.

Yes, when they're not supervised by Parents or any adult. Even violent music can get you violent or angry. I remember one time I was listening to a metal and went to the cashier a lady who passed me by when it was supposed to be my turn. Oh, I got so mad for some reason. Which Im not supposed because she's old.

I think it can be possible. Violent video games will still make a difference to the people. When they are playing, they will become aggressive. If you don't believe it, try to unplug the video games to see how they will react I think it effects to children much more. I think the video games shall be filtered like movies. Some are suitable for adults only.

I agree to this. There are some children who starts playing violent video games at a tender age. This makes me remember my cousin who was addicted to playstation during his college days. His mother would hide the playstation and he would then go on the computer and find other games. Parents supervision is a must

It is possible that such gamers to be really calm and nice people in real life outside their games and it is also possible for them to be not nice at all in real life. I don't think that there is a gamer is necessarily also a violent and aggressive person in real life. It could be either way. The same is valid for non-gamers as well: they could be either nice or aggressive and not nice at all in real life. It is hard to tell where the violence comes from: it probably comes from personal frustrations whose source might not be too easy to find.

@Cristi_Ichim My friend is a vegan and she is always telling us why she stopped eating meat. For her it is about cruelty to animals. As for me I am not vegan because I believe that they are lots of proteins and benefits in meat and to stop eating them would cause an imbalance in neurotransmitters and also the nutrients that my body requires.

In my opinion it depends on the person. I play alot of different games, there were times I like to decapitate my enemy using swords and knives but I'm not a violent person. I even detest it. There could be lots of factors like if it runs in the family, or not much nurturing, violent environment that influence a person but thats all a theory.

Violent video games do make people more aggressive. However, it does not necessarily make people more hostile. In fact, video games of all kind (including violent ones) have also been linked to increased pro-social behavior. Whether people become hostile depends on more things than just violent video games.

@Nawsheen But even without contact to the outside world, they still get their social interaction through online gaming. Have you ever seen a teamwork-based computer game before?

Yeah people with weak minds can be controlled through such games and manipulated. This is proven in many cases. We should try to stay away from such games.

Well, my favorite kind of games where the Fight ones, and I was the most calm and quiet child, but when I was young everything was different, the kids learn values and now everything's a mess. 30% of me thinks that right now it could be a problem, but the other 70% doesn't, our behavior don't depend on what we play, the problem starts when people get obsessed with those games at the point of wanting to do exactly the same they watch.
