Instead of Thursday and Friday this week I am here yesterday and today. That worked out best for me too because tomorrow and Friday I need to work on setting up the rummage sale at church....then Saturday I will be there all day running it.
No, not looking forward to it now.
I have loved how my daughter sets up her garden on the pallets and in pots. This year she expanded into some other areas as well.
She doesn't have a lot of anything except having 6 tomato plants. She has blueberries, blackberries and strawberries for fruit.
She has green beans, peas, potatoes, carrots, radishes, lettuce, and cucumbers to go with the tomatoes.
She also has several types of herbs and mixed in with flowers on the sides and in pots too.
For me, I have 3 large planters in the back yard. One has strawberries...some Heather gave me and some I bought at a yard sale. One has 2 bell pepper plants that Heather gave me. The other one has 3 tomato plants that Heather gave me.
That is the extent of my food gardening this year......which is more than I did last year.
I know several here are posting about their gardens. I enjoy seeing the pictures and even learning new things. I need them to motivate me to do better at having a garden.

Selfishly I choose to be in charge of the rummage sale so that I can get first look at what is donated for anything that I might want to buy. I do it most years but regret the amount of work it is.

@Tina30219 There is a nice rocker chair that is so comfy but no room for it. There is also a nice large rolling back pack that we really could use when we travel.

Mine will all be in containers this year. I may eventually get some raised beds, maybe not. I have lots of herbs. There is a fine line between doing enough and overdoing.

Well, she only has 3 green bean sprouts and 4 pea plants...that won't produce much LOL

I like it too and it's theraputic but I can't get past the amount of time and money that it costs.

I didn't plant anything this year. I probably should have but with the non stop rain, it was hard to do. Plus, I have no help, my kids refuse to help. I get it....gardening is not their cup of tea.

Help is sure a plus for me. Heather came to our house 2 years and helped me plant....now she doesn't and I don't.
The weather has been stupid too....finally it's where it's not going down into the 30's at night.

We have fruit trees that came with the house- plum and cherry; a lemon tree the neighbor gave me and some grapes and blackberries. The ground is too hard and rocky for a garden, so I will probably plant one in planters.

I want planters just because the weeding is so much easier......I found our grape vine growing when I thought it was long gone. I'm hoping some day it will actually get big enough to start producing grapes.
