Peppers and Tomatoes

I’ve been picking produce out of my garden for almost two weeks now, mainly cherry tomatoes, summer squash, and green beans. The cherry tomatoes are absolutely incredible.
Now my husband is impatient for the regular tomatoes and peppers. It’s been a while since I made stuffed peppers for him. Bell peppers are just too expensive to buy at the grocery store.
The peppers need another few days, but they should be big enough by the middle of next week. We usually invite my youngest son’s girlfriend over for dinner when we have stuffed peppers. She loves them almost as much as my husband does.
Not this time.
My husband doesn’t want to share.

@TiarasOceanView Peppers are a good choice for a balcony. Cherry tomatoes work well in pots as well.

I would love to plant peppers in my garden. I use them often in so many dishes. They freeze well too.

Some years my garden has been a bust. It's doing better than usual this year.

Wow I haven't even planted the plants yet, it has been too cold here, but we love stuffed peppers too and it puts me in mind to make some.

I enjoy gardening, but I have a relatively small garden now days. We put in two raised beds two years ago. It makes it a lot easier to tend.

our green beans haven't even bloomed yet, or they might be by now we aren't there. I never buy peppers and have no clue what they cost.

I don't blame him, I wouldn't want to share either.. I love stuffed peppers. The end of May is our time to plant, it will be quite a while before our veggies are ready to eat.

Stuffed peppers are delicious. What stuffing do you use? Tomatoes are very nice too!

It's a mixture of ground beef or pork, and rice with lots of seasoning mixed in. They're cooked in a tomato sauce.
