Oh, my... What a WONDERful movie! Superhero movies have never been in better shape. I'm truly amazed! This is DC's redemption in theaters!
The work of the newcomer Patty Jenkins in the director's chair (for a superhero movie) was exceptional! I must to admit: It was a lot, but a lot better than I was hoping for someone who had never been directing a movie before. It is obvious that failures exist, but they are not serious enough to be pointed out.
The script (written by Allan Heinberg) is great and presented the story of the character correctly - although very didactic for a few times - with an evolution in a constant increase. The character's inner drama is very convincing and the action sequences are extremely creative.
The cast is very close and share the scenes very well, but of course the obvious highlight goes to the beautiful Gal Gadot. Without the slightest exaggeration, she was the perfect choice to play this role because she captured the essence of the character completely. I think she just didn't play the character... She lived it.
With respect to the technical aspects: The special effects are an exclusive show (they are simply jaw-dropping!) and make the action scenes out of this world. The soundtrack looks like it was handpicked, it was all very well punctuated (almost like a surgical precision). The edition is very well made and photography is a spectacle (the island's landscapes are wonderful).
My recommendation is: Go running and watch this movie at the cinema closest to you!
Wonder Woman is much more than just a movie, it's a call for cinema to become aware once and for all that women deserve due recognition (in all areas in which they want to work)!

Warner Brother studios executives must be dancing in the streets that a movie of a female icon super hero is still loved today.

Patty Jenkins is not a newcomer to directing. She directed Charlize Theron to an Oscar in "Monster."

My husband and I went to see it yesterday at the theater. It sure was action packed and I agree Gal Gadot was the perfect choice for the Wonder Woman character. She did live it as you say.
