I tried to post this twice earlier, with no luck so maybe the third time is the charm.
Tonight was pot roast night, cooked in the crock pot with carrots and potatoes.
The pot roast was over two pounds and was $5 ( it was actually half of a bigger roast)
Carrots were $1
Potatoes were $1
The roast seasoning packet was $1
and the additonal spices I used amounted to about $0.50
Sooooooo. For $8.50 we had a lovely dinner, and have plenty of leftovers for lunch tomororw!
What did you have for dinner tonight?

@thislittlepennyearns it was a pricey piece of meat. $18 for a 7 pound boneless pork shoulder.

That sounds great.. I didn't really have a dinner tonight. I slept through dinner time. Working 3rd shift sucks sometimes.
I am about to eat "breakfast" which is a Nacho Chilli Dip thingy...
It consists of Cream Cheese (2 boxes), over a lb Ground Browned hamburg with taco seasoning, A can of chili, A jar of Peach and Pineapple salsa, A bag of Mexican shredded cheese
I start off browning the hamburg, add in the seasoning and then the chili and the Salsa, then while it is simmering I put the Cream Cheese in halves so there are 4 laid across this big rectangle rubbermaid type container. When I have the bottom covered in cream cheese, I pour the worm meat and chili mixture over the cream cheese and add the bag of mexican cheese on the top and then stick that in the microwave for 5 minutes to melt the cheese.
It makes about 8-10 meals for me and I serve a small portion in a bowl and some Tostito's SCOOPS Tortilla Chips. It keeps very well so it takes me days to finish this and I always have a quick meal that I only have to heat up and eat.
