Some people irritate me.

It is over 6 PM and the winter day has ended. The sun set almost 30 minutes ago. And the electrician, that told me he´d come to deal with my door´s electric problems just arrived. I wonder: how is he going to to his work if he just has a little flashlight? Tomorrow I´m going to the supermarket and after that I have to babysit my grandchildren. I don´t want to be an electrician´s helper, telling him whether I hear or not through the internal phone system. The burglary of my house has meant a lot of trouble and money, besides what they stole. And I still have to be thankful that the robbers did not hurt me.

@celticeagle I think I didn´t have time to be scared. I was too disconcerted.

thank God you're safe and sound after the burglary invasion. concerning the night time electrical job, putting on the electrical bulbs/fluorescent would go a long way.

He is just fixing my electric door now. We will talk later about more lights in the garden.

How can he do a proper job in the night? Maybe he is a very busy electrician.

He´s an old retired man. He knows his trade, but is not aware of time anymore

@marguicha I don't know if I would trust him to know what he was doing if he doesn't know what time it is any longer. He probably isn't knowledgeable about the latest codes either.

@NJChicaa He is a very good electrician. But I guess that as I want something very small, he does it between jobs.

Oh what a shame. You have to be careful with the people you brought home. I understand the part of doing someone else job, it's tiring, and it's like doing everything by yourself

He wants to apply you a night rate. I tend to trust professionals. If it is just an internal phone system to repair, I guess he can do it with a flashlight.

I hate workers who come to do something and they seem not to have the appropriate tools. I remember someone who came to took measurements of my kitchen (we had to change the refrigerator) and he had no meter. We went to another store.

That would be irritating. I don't understand why places do things like thins. Cable companies here in the US do it all the time. They will give you a time frame and then not show up till hours after it and when you call to complain they tell you that you're next in line but still no one shows up. It really gets on my nerves as well.

I wondered if those robbers did target you after watching your place for a while. Glad to hear that you were not hurt.
