Surprisingly Cool Outside

We’ve had rain for the last three days. It’s still cloudy out and drizzly, but the worst of it has passed. Long stretches of rain is not surprising in the summer here in South Carolina. Some years we have next to no rain and the following year it will rain every day. It all depends on where we are in the El Nino cycle.
It was dry all winter and spring with just occasional rain showers. The summer started out that way as well. I didn’t expect the three day downpour, but what surprised me the most was the temperature. It’s only 61 degrees Fahrenheit (16 C) outside. It hasn’t been this cool since the first of March.
Sweatshirt weather in South Carolina in the summer time? The idea just doesn’t compute.
What is your weather forecast for the day?
(I took this picture last summer. Unfortunately I can’t remember where I was when I took it. I thought it was a good example of a typical summer day here in South Carolina.)

It's so beautiful summers ,I should say. In summer one can only see dried up trees here, with less moist ..

Today it is nearly 80, but now cloudy. We may get a thunderstorm later on. Hopefully it will happen when I am sleeping. I sleep well during a thunderstorm.

Wherever in South Carolina you took the photo,it is beautiful. Here it is raining intermittently. But
we have rainy season . We are happy to see the rain after the sweltering heat of last two months.

We are not too far from you and found it rather cool for a few days here too @BettyB
Today it made it to 82. It's all good as long as we don't have snow!

82 is a nice comfortable temperature, not cold but not sweltering either.

Thanks. I took it last year, or the year before. I don't remember. I wish I could remember where.

That photo is calling to me! It's so peaceful and beautiful, and makes me want to sit and rest on that bench. We had three dreary days in a row, but the sun popped back out yesterday with very pleasant temps of 69 during the day. We are getting a heatwave beginning Sunday. Yay!

The heat will be moving again here soon and then I'll be grumbling. Why can't it stay a nice 75-80 every day?

It is still cool in your place though it is summer. In our country, it is sizzling hot during summer or dry season; it could reach to high temperatures like 40 degrees Celsius!

Forty is way too hot! I don't think I could handle that. I don't like the extremes, too cold or too hot.
