Would you rather write long or short discussions?

June 8, 2017 8:14am CST
I particularly have no preference. I think writing just the necessary, making the discussion settle with some plausible argument is enough (not needing to take into consideration the amount of lines of the text... unless of course the "texts" of just one line ). How does this work for you?

I never give much thought to length. As you say above about writing the necessary, I write what I want to say. When it feels finished I stop.

It just depends on the content. But usually I still prefer to write a short discussion because not many people want to spend longer time reading long discussions. Besides, my English is not good enough to write it so long yet.

I think both depends on net speed and the time.

I don't like to make my post long so most of the time they will be medium.. just enough to get the subject in it.

I guess I would keep it short but meaningful.

I would like to write short discussions but I have a habit of waffling. Even if I try to only say that which is necessary, I find myself thinking that the other 972 words I think I don't need are actually needed. I prefer to read shorter discussions because I am lazy! Well, I don't mind longer ones if they're interesting enough, or if I can skim read enough relevant information to answer. As you may have noticed, some of my responses are longer than some people's discussions. I don't consider the number of lines or words or anything. As a journalist, I have to do that sort of thing enough. I like to come here where it doesn't matter if I don't reach a minimum word count or if I feel like waffling until my heart's content. I think, in answer to your question, I don't really have a preference.

Similar to you, i have no preference. I write what i want and what I need. Of course, I take into consideration what readers would want. Although, it has been quite sometime since i wrote a post here in myLot.

It depends on what I feel like writing about, usually mine aren't very long and hopefully not too boring.

I prefer medium..if it's too long , people may feel irritated ..if it's too short we won't be able to express much

I prefer to write on mylot short or not so long discussions. Simply said, a modern man or woman has no time and wish to read long texts. There is more chances to interact here with short texts than with longer ones. That is according to my opinion and my experience. Of course, the "texts" of just one line aren't preferable here and aren't pretty to interact via them.
