Do you believe speaking ENGLISH is a pre requisite in landing a job.For me basically i cling to the fact that it does not matter how well anyone is able to speak a specific language in order to be given top priority in landing a job.I believe in the corporate ambiance what is important is your passion and dedication as well as the heart for the work allocated for you, that is more important than being able to speak a specific language.....

I think it depends on the job, the country and what sort of situations you need to deal with. I'd say speaking additional languages is always a good thing but not necessarily just english. So I'd say, depending on the job, I don't think speaking english is a prerequisite to getting a job.

International countries like mine put top priorities to personnels who are far above English speaking literate and articulate as well as more consistent conversant...they Equalizes knowledge and wit through expressions of oneself through better English impressions of someone....i dont know why....

I believe to land a job it is not depending on how well you are able to speak a specific language for as long as you are able determined and has the ability to carry out tasks, add passion and put a heart to your co employee then you can be hired...

Personally, I beg to differ there. Especially depending on where you live. Here in the US it is very important for a lot of jobs that English is the official language spoke in order to be a success with many companies. Why work somewhere for someone not even being able to speak or understand their language?

In some companies, they do require applicants to speak English fluently. At some point, it is also an edge for them to land a certain job.

I don't neglect your opinion, but I think speaking English becomes more and more a prerequisite in landing a job.

Yeah but i supposed Hiring Officers should focus more of what applicants can contribute to the company ,their ability skills and knowlege as well as experience And passion that would be more relevant to the job not their way of expressing themselves through language..
