Strawberries!!!

Got our first half flat of Strawberries this morning from my Aunt!
They are delicious! Can't wait to get home and make some strawberry shortcake!
Have you had some good strawberries yet this year? I may be biased but I think homegrown Oregon berries are the best!

Homegrown are definitely best, but I've never had any from Oregon... The ones we get here are so delicious!
I like strawberry shortcake but I prefer strawberry salad. It's crushed pretzels as the crust, whipped topping, a layer of fresh strawberries, strawberry jello and then more pretzels and whipped topping.

We have not had any strawberries this year other than when Jacob bought some to make homemade strawberry ice cream with. We ate the leftover ones and they were so sweet and juicy. I did have a frozen berry mix for smoothies but I finished that up the other week. Now I have some bananas and blueberries for smoothies this week.
