Chips Ahoy! Oatmeal Thins

Being a Chips Ahoy! lover, I try their new versions and flavors as I find them. Today I found their Oatmeal Thins.
And they're really good. The only problem is that they taste exactly like a regular Chips Ahoy! cookie, and nothing like an oatmeal cookie. In fact, rolled oats appears fairly far down the list of ingredients. They might as well have not used any at all.
Regular Chips Ahoy! fans should like these (why not just buy the regular cookies?,) but if you're getting it for oatmeal cookie flavor, you're apt to be disappointed.

If you're a big fan, have you thought about giving them feedback on it? Letting them know what you think might earn you a coupon for a free package...
Maybe future batches will have more oats in them.

@teamfreak16 I have only done it a couple of times.
There was once when I got a red baron pizza (the microwaveable kind) and one of the plastic packages was open. I kept the box and phoned them. They had me give them the UPC and a couple of other numbers and then asked for my address and sent me a coupon for a free one.

@ScribbledAdNauseum - That's cool that they did that. They could have just referred you back to the store.

First time I have ever seen you say something about food..you must really like these and on your recommendation, I may just buy some very soon.
I love chips ahoy! And the thinner the better to me. I like delicate cookies lol

I am not a fan of oatmeal so I wouldn't get this but given it doesn't taste like oatmeal (maybe slightly healthier) I would try it! Lol!

You might as well get a regular bag. It's basically the same thing.

i would choose oatmeal cookies over chocolate chips but i would feel cheated, too, if it's like that. i guess it's more like "dusted with oatmeal."

@teamfreak16 yes, chips ahoy we have here are always chocolate chips, but i've long outgrown them and prefer oatmeal cookies or ginger, coffee or mocha flavored cookies now.

@hereandthere - Well these don't taste like oatmeal, that's for sure. You might not like these for that reason.

I dont see the point in thins to begin with. So I will not be trying this variety of them or any other for that matter.

Thanks for the mini review about this cookie. I remember how I used to love chips ahoy when I was a kid. We had to go to Cash and Carry to get them as it is the only store back in the 80s that sells imported items. But now I can find chips ahoy everywhere.

@teamfreak16 Well chips ahoy here have to be imported from the US, and back in the 80s there were limited stores who carry imported items.

Glad you wrote this. Oatmeal cookies are my favorite. So these have chocolate chips too? Oh, I see from the photo that they do. Shouldn't they call them Oatmeal Chocolate Chips Thins?

And get regular size rather than thins. You just gobble up 2 or 3 to equal one regular cookie.

I know. I really don't understand the point of thins at all. Some marketing guy probably came up with them.
