It was so annoying when I open my television and I saw this type of news, one of the Senador in Philippines, proposing to ban unlimited rice in Philippines, most of the restaurant in the Philippines, offer unlimited rice, or unlimited meal,
Why not they endorse to enhance sports here in Philippines, than removing unlimited rice? Most of the people are getting tired, because of working 8-10 hours per day, and they eat lot of rice as their energy to survive everyday..

In my own opinion this is a good move to restrict the Filipinos to eat more rice because it's contributory to diabetes. Western countries avoiding rice bu us, Filipinos, are so inclined to eating rice and we consume too much. Anyway itz just the unlimited rice promo from restaurant will be called.
But then, do we need a law for this matter. Can't it just be an order from malacanang?

@tech40 this is very correct buddy.
Just like awhile ago when our dear congressman celebrated his birthday. Lots of people put as much to their plate and at the end they didn't eat all of it, lots of leftovers.

Im from her City and we are proud being a small city of Metro Manila we were able produce a senator but I strongly disagree with this, it's our right to eat what we want so long as it's legal and we paid for it. The health risk is our look out and rice shortage is government problem.

@louievill Yeah, she should focus in feeding program instead of removing unlimited rice, I'm not fan of eating unlimited rice, but I only eat this type of restaurant, when I'm very tired because of work.

@tech40 she should mind her own business and not curtail what people would like to do with their own hard earned money

But she just would like Filipinos to be healthier because eating a lot of rice can make our glucose go up and may lead to diabetes. Diabetes is common here because Filipinos are so fond of eating lots of rice.
Though, eating these unlimited rice is a promotional scheme of restaurants and perhaps its up to the customers to eat lots of rice just because it is unli rice.

@ridingbet Wow, you are light weighted. I am now at 58 kilos, a bit heavy already for my 5'3.5 height. I want it to go down to 120 lbs again or 54 klos.

She might be better raising funds since she is the richest senator, our city even made money from water lilies that was becoming a problem in Mindanao when she was still our congress woman.

@carexing25 yeah that's correct, she should promote physical fitness program, than removing it, specially most of us are working 8-10 hours, and get tired a lot, there are people tends to go to this type of restaurant to get recovered from being tired.

i don't think the senator will pass a bill for the prohibition of unlimited rice. i think she said it is the prerogative of the DOH if they should look into this.
