We currently own a 1959 Chevy Stepside Pickup. It needs some minor work, like a paint job and a new bed, but still runs great. We also own a 69 Chevy Nova. It too runs and has a rebuilt motor that can blow the doors off any thing on the road today.

Yep, you are right. There is nothing like the old ones. We went to the Imperial Palace Classic Car Show while we were in Vegas last week. I'm telling you, I drooled, literally. LOL

I think the oldest car I've owned, and one of the nicest, was a Rover P6 2200TC. It had the most comfortable ride of all the cars I've had, but like all old vehicles the maintenance costs and fuel costs were too high so it had to go.
Now the oldest motorcyle I've owned was a 1934 P&M Panther 650cc, although they didn't start making the 650 until 1936, so it should have been a 600cc. Fired every lamp post and, if you didn't get it right when you kickstarted it, would throw you over the handlebars. I was going to renovate it back to its original spec, but like a lot of projects that people start, time and money run out and families start to appear. Hope the guy who bought it from me has had some good times on it.

I had to get rid of the Chevy too, cause I was having to drive it as an everyday car, and I didn't want it ragged out. I kick myself every single day though, but I wouldn't have had the money to keep it up the way it needed anyway....I do miss it though...thanks for the response

The oldest vehicle I have ever owned was a 1953 Ford F-100 half ton pickup. It was a 6 cylinder with Automatic Transmission, factory original. I got upset with it one day and traded it off to the local Chevrolet Dealer with a trade in value of $50.00 on a 1965 El Camino. This was in 1967. I paid $1500 for it. Worst mistake I have ever made as regards vehicles. 2 days after I traded it in a friend of mine showed up with a telegram from Ford Motor Company. They wanted it for their Museum. Seems they only made 13 of these with the Automatic Transmission that year. I tried to buy it back as soon as I could, but they had already sold it to some guy from Florida, for $200.00
By the way, within 6 months the back window and the bed had rusted through.

I think the oldest car I have ever owned was a 1981 oldsmobile skylark.. That was probably the oldest.. I am not great at picking out cars though, so they may not put many more years on in my posession..I tend to pick the lemons:(+
