Anyone suffering from Trigeminal Neuralgia?

June 16, 2017 3:35am CST
Hi Everyone! TN is considered only the second most painful condition, only next to pains related to cancer. If anyone is suffering can you give ideas on dealing with it? The worst part is - it makes one a recluse, really scared and wary of socializing and being hit with TN episode at a worst time! Regards

I think it is best to consult a neurologist about it or Physiotherapist.

A physiotherapist can do nothing, only a neurologist can help, I had a friend with this problem.

I know how painful it is, I had a friend with this problem. He suffered for years and finally decided to have surgery. After surgery he had no more pain. Life has changed for him after surgery.

@Sherinl Do you plan to have surgery? The sooner is done the better it is.

Yes, after a while doctors will suggest surgery ... they did for me too ...

@LadyDuck Nope ... would not go under the knife ... it is important to understand that even after surgery TN can return!!! It will be more painful if it does and surgery will have to be done again ... not ideal in my opinion ... besides, by God's grace I have good results with Aromatherapy & Acupuncture ...

@Sherinl Oh okay. Well fortunately, this can be treated by a doctor.

@Tierkreisze Yup ... it can be managed effectively :) Just the emotional it takes sometimes ... is difficult ... but with support from loved ones, nothing is impossible ... After all, no man's an island.
