No, the prayer is not for me but for Marawi City where there is fighting going on between the terrorist Muslim group of Maute, and the armed forces, as maybe most of you have seen on CNN.
Actually, Martial Law was declared on the whole Mindanao and @cacay1 is a myLotter from Cagayan de Oro one of the places in Mindanao. She even posted yesterday that terrorists were caught hiding in a town two hours drive from their place.
I pray that peace will soon reign and those terrorists will all be killed, not the innocent civilians.

Our church have this prayer for peace attached on pews so that when people come in, they would include the prayer when they're praying.

Anymore all we can do is Pray for areas and people who are being attacked like this. Anymore you just never know. My thoughts and Prayers are for these groups to be able to be stopped and for the righteous freedom of people be allowed back. Terrorist groups that become like this make you wonder what happened to some of these people to even be wanting the power to want to be like this?

Yes, prayer is our weapon against those bad people. Power indeed is foremost in their minds even if it means killing a lot of innocent people.

Many Muslims and Christians desire peaceful co-existence but religious extremists will use the prevailing injustice and poverty in that region to further their cause. Unless the problems are address and a solution amicable to both sides are agreed upon, the conflict in the region will continue.

Very well said my friend, and to that, I absolutely agree.
However, until now that amicable solution is ver elusive. There were peace talks before, but still this conflict.
In my opinion, the greed for power or who to rule them also is what is making them turn to this terrorism.

It is just a matter of time before the terrorists are weeded out of Marawi, the best they can do are delaying tactics like sniping, burning and use of human shields. There is danger that those who are able to escape would spill over and create trouble in adjoining provinces. My prayer is for peace once they are isolated, neutralized and or annihilated.
