This guy got entangled with his cat's lead and tripped. His ankle or whatever is swollen. It is almost a week and no visit to the doctor yet. Would you not do it the moment you saw your swollen ankle? You must have heard of the adage 'Stitch in time saves nine' I get a feeling there will be already a few 'stitches' on their way there. What would you have done if that happened to you?

I wouldn't worry too much about the swelling. I'd use an ice pack and rest it up, it would probably be just a sprain. I'm sure I'd be able to tell if it was broken.

When the symptoms do not give you a clear answer, even then would you just not bother?

I think it is better to take an Xray at this moment.

I can put some ice treatment within 48 hours. Then, you can apply hot pack.

I would go to the Er room to make sure nothing is broken.
