While officially the monsoons have been delayed for Delhi NCR, we have had some small showers.
Those showers bought back some memories of rainy days of earlier times.
I recall eating hot pakodas with tea. Or 1993 Sir movie song "Sun sun barsaat ki dhun sun....."
(Listen to the music of rain...)
Or that ghazal by Pankaj Udhaas
"Wo kagaz ki kashti, wo baarish ka pani. ."
(That paper boat in rainy days. .....)
And more such memories.
What memories do rains bring to you?

For me, I remember I was trying to save my umbrella from the storm in the middle of a path (both sides are rice field) and myself, as I felt I was also moved along with the wind, trying to keep my books not getting wet. My goodness, a tough time for me in the evening time while going back to home from school.
I have no nice memories but only scary memories along with rain.

I had a bad experience around 12 years ago. I was coming back from work place and there my umbrella folded inside out. So I had to fold it and come back badly drenched.

I love rain a lot but it is not raining here. I remember a song related to rain is 'deewana hua badal ' from Kashmir Ki Kali.

I love the monsoon season , never can get fed up of it. This year it began exactly on the date predicted on the 3 Rd f June. Mangalore has one of the highest volume f rainfalls and it can rain non stop for days together as it is happening now. .

well lots of memories ,specially in childhood. Me and all neighbors children used to run to get wet in rain in front of the house, when ever rain used to start. But of course mother's never used to allow us that's another story..lol
Those are definitely good songs to remember..

I love the rains especially when it pours at night.
Rains inspire the poets, of course, and also film makers!
I used to wonder why it rains bang on school opening in the beginning of June!
Someone is really in charge to make it happen year after year without fail.
The atmosphere above is so thin and we hang on for dear life that it still holds despite some big leaders caring two hoots to such reminding of the famous "Nero Fiddled While Rome Burned".
But others like China & India have risen to the occasion - siva

Some countries are denying India access to cleaner technologies but India is overcoming this with a strong will and switching to cleaner energies. Even China has made great strides.
