Some people advice against charging your phone overnight saying it is dangerous as the phone can get overheated and also that it can affect battery performance in the long run.
I have done overnight charging of my phone plenty of times and haven't faced any problems. Do you leave your phone on the charger overnight? Have you faced any issues due to this?

of course the charger heats up when it is not original, so will the mobile phone too. i sometimes charge my phone overnight and it does not heat at all.

@pitstop i don't put my phone under my pillow. it is in an open space free from things that are easily burned, like sheets of paper.

No, aside from the danger of overcharging, it also lessens the lifespan of our gadgets.
I take care of my gadget so it will last long.

This is not something to be viewed lightly as we heard and read many cases that cell phone can cause explosion when charging. Leaving it to be charged all night long? It's too risky.

I used to do that with my basic phones but never with my android phones. There are times that while charging the phone heats up and I don't want any kind of accidents.
