I wonder if other nations do pay LOBOLA to girls parents when they marry them, or they just make an agreement and ends there. In my castom or culture, a man has to pay for the girl. So what can you saynow?

My friend, I am from South Africa, and will follow you. Hoping to visit your beautiful country soon. With regards to Labola, what happens when the man has the potential to make real money in the future?

@abcdmm That's nice to hear that the love of your life won't be lost and you can make a plan to be together. My family always used to joke that they would not even get one goat for me...

Thankyou so much, you are very close to Lesotho and hope you will come. Some families do negotiate the price , at times they will reduce the scale, so that you pay less. There is a saying in Sesotho MONYALA KA PELI O NYALA OA HAE meaning that, even if you pay slowly, slowly untill you finish the payment , the wife is yours.

@abcdmm Unless you explain further members who are not from Africa would hardly know what is BASOTHO.
