Oh yeah, I'm cracking up.
Those stupid fools keep calling me about PC security hoping I will allow them to either take control or to give me instructions. So I have a little fun with them.
The idiot tells me he's calling from Washington DC but the number he called from is 650-282-4122. Are they really that stupid? OH wait, yeah, they are.
Oh but I done a no-no, I gave him a fake number and told him to ask for John.
My bad?

Haha I did even worse. I asked the guy to phone me at 11AM the next day. He rang at 9AM. I told him to phone back at 11AM which he did. I went through the charade of turning the PC on pretending that I was PC illiterate and went through with charade with him then said. Do you seriously think I would give you control of my computer. I have a Masters in I T technology but at least I have prevented you from rooking someone else off!
It made my day and I still have a giggle about it every now and again. So if you get this again you will know what to do!

I play along with them now and then too. I thank them for calling and go into my computer illiterate old lady routine. I am so glad you are going to help me. I say I am logging in - just waiting, waiting, see why I need help.lol I put the phone on speaker and just go about my work. They will wait a long time for me to get my computer booted up.

I rarely get scam calls anymore, since I changed my number but then again not very many people or companies have my number
