I have an alcohol problem.

As I think I mentioned yesterday, my truck is in the shop. This leads to several issues. One is that I can't get to work to turn in my progress notes from last week. Another is that I can't get to Trader Joe's to buy my beloved Charles Shaw Cabernet Sauvignon or my equally beloved single-malt Scotch. I had a new bottle of Scotch on Friday, but it somehow disappeared at this past weekend's Bluegrass Festival.
Yesterday, I was faced with a real alcohol problem: There was none in my house. My wine was gone. My Scotch was gone. I ultimately resolved it by riding my bike down to the local Chevron station, which is only a couple of blocks away. I bought a six-pack of Budweiser beer, which I often drink in Montana, but rarely here.
I brought my day pack, and brought it home in said day pack. So now I am sipping a Bud, but it just doesn't provide the satisfaction of a nice Cabernet and single-malt Scotch. I'm a waiting a call from the car fix-it place, but haven't received one yet.
Are you experiencing any "shortages" in your life right now? It's 95 degrees out, so I think I'm going to head to the pool. I will bring Gatorade, not Bud.

a lack of transportation, leading to a lack of work, and a lack of being able to make quick snack runs and stuff!

It definitely sucks when the vehicle is in the shop @TheHorse . And when you get the 'bill', it will definitely be time for another Bud.

I quit drinking when I was 20, I quit smoking 12 years ago. There is only one thing I need more of.

Yes , Mango, I bought a nice large package of sliced fresh mango at the grocery store and I opened it this morning. The fruit was hard as a rock and had no juice in it at all!! I threw it away.

95 degrees!! Bud, cabernet, scotch, and an ice bath are all definitely needed to fix your shortages.
