Day 286
Proverbs 27:18
Proverbs 27:18 Whoso keeps the fig tree shall eat the fruit thereof: so he that waits on his master shall be honored.
19 As in water face answers to face, so the heart of man to man.
20 Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied.
21 As the fining pot for silver, and the furnace for gold; so is a man to his praise.
If you want something good to come of your life, you must cultivate it. Good relationships don’t form overnight. They must be forged.
Solomon was a husbandman. He knew what it took to get good crops. Without pruning and cultivating nothing would grow. If nothing grew, he alone had to answer for it.
What are you cultivating in your life? What is Satan trying to destroy? Your marriage, your family, your friendships, your job? Satan will do whatever he can to destroy your life. However, when you put your life in the forge or the furnace of God’s purpose for you, Satan will not be able to come against it.
Let God refine you. Give all your relationships to God and watch him bring you forth as silver and gold.
Let’s pray: Father, set your purpose in me. Refine me according to your will. Keep Satan far from me, as you prune and cultivate my life for your purpose. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.
