Cousin got promoted to Lt Col

It is pretty exciting that my cousin got promoted to the rank of Lt. Colonel in the US Army. He was pretty fed up with the military and was considering retirement, but now when he does, he will have a much better pension! His wife doesn't work so this is something they really needed...Congrats Donny! He is currently stateside working in finance..so hopefully that will continue as well. Do you have any friends or family in the service?

Yeah, I did congratulate him..He is a conservative and can be pretty snarky at times..but still, I am happy for him.

Yes, I think he was pretty happy about it. I know one time he hot a poor performance review which was part of his dissatisfaction with the military, but that all seems to be behind him now.

Yes, he is the first one for awhile. Many of my uncles served. My dad wanted to, but he is not very mechanical, not sure how it would have gone.

Yes, that is how Donny started his career. One of his first jobs was as an MP.

Yes, he was in Afghanistan for awhile, and that was scary..but he has been stateside for awhile.and not too far from our hometown.
