Day 287
Proverbs 27:22
Proverbs 27:22 Though thou should bray a fool in a mortar among wheat with a pestle, yet will not his foolishness depart from him.
Bray means to pound.
Everyone knows people who will not listen, who will go ahead and do what they want, heedless of what people tell them.
Solomon said you can’t make a foolish person wise. Yet we keep trying to do just that.
Solomon in his many proverbs taught the people what it meant to be wise or foolish. He gave tips on how to live a godly life.
Jesus in his ministry, taught the people about God and what heaven was like and the people who would go there.
We are not to pound fools and expect them to become wise, but we should teach and hopefully in doing so, people will listen and heed what they have been taught.
Let’s pray: Father, help me teach as you taught, not by pounding it into them but by being patient and understanding and helpful as much as I am able. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.

I always pray and praise God on my own ways.

Sometimes and mostly in all cases, it is only divine intervention that can make the foolish see the error of their ways. Amen Valerie.

I agree. Patience is a virtue, one I need to practice a lot. I don't pound anyone.
