There must be many hot tea drinkers on myLot especially with so many foreign members from places like the UK and India where tea time is an institution. Personally I am an iced tea drinker and not had a hot cup in years. Coffee may be king in the US but tea rules most of the world from Asia to the Middle East to the former British empire. Tea is ceremonial in Japan. Tea is medicinal with herbal and chamomile. Green tea is good for health. Tea is supposed to be calming in times of stress.
What is your preferred brand? There are so many major names: Celestial Seasonings, Bigelow, Tetley, Twinings and Lipton. Numerous lesser known brands.
Any particular flavor you favor? The most popular are Earl Grey, English Breakfast Tea, Ceylon, Darjeeling and Orange Pecoe. That is just the tip of the iceberg, There is every combination imaginable such as cinnamon spice, ginger, mixed berry and peppermint. Chai is popular.
Is it time to put on the kettle?

Well my summertime drink of choice is Peach ICe Tea, and I normally drink the Wylers brand, but now I have Crystal Lite. My hot tea preference runs to Celestial Seasons teas especially the Bengal Spice, and the Cinnamon Apple varieties.

I'm a Bigelow fan. In fact, I have a Bigelow "Tea Shirt," complete with a tea tag for Constant Comment on the back! My favorite flavor is white chocolate obsession, which isn't sold in stores and is only available through the web site...and worth every penny. I also love vanilla caramel and lemon lift from them, and the peppermint bark herbal tea.
With Celestial Seaons I love their "candy cane lane" holiday tea flavor.
And then there's Stash and their licorice spice tea.....yum.....

I like Constant Comment. Back in the day that was what the Long John Silver's franchise served.

A real tea aficionado! You put the kettle on along with a Jim Reeves album.

I usually buy Bromley. I use it to make ice tea and I'm just partial to it's flavor. However, I have tried Earl Grey (served hot) teas and I must say, they are a treat!

I usually use some sort of British or Irish tea, I can't stand the taste of Earl Gray, taste like dust to me. But green tea I do like.

@MALUSE Yes but those are the blends I like, Irish breakfast or English breakfast in particular. Might even be from Sri Lanka.

I only drink iced tea. When I was a kid and not feeling well my mother made me drink hot tea which is probably why I don't drink it now.

I like a good raspberry or peach iced tea on a really hot day, the rest, I find too bitter for my taste... I might as well chomp on the tea leaves...coffee on the other hand, I can't seem to get enough of..

I like Lipton, Bromley, and Bigelow teas the most. I drink green tea and white tea the most. They taste the best, and they are two of the healthiest teas out there. I also like this raspberry tea that I tried in Poland. My man and his family are Polish. His family here in America has it once in a while.

Since it is summer and since hubby is cutting down on coffee, I will wait and have coffee with him when he gets up. I will have tea while I wait. In the cup in the microwave I have Tazo Sweet Orange tea. In my iced tea in the refrigerator I have black tea with a little chai added. I never sweeten my tea. I drink it as well as coffee all year round.

I love tea, hot or cold. I like lipton green tea with orange, or I like infusions with blackberry leaves and roses. BUT I drink more coffee than tea.

Chai and green is about all I really drink, other than iced. My favorite, if they even still make it, is Sport Tea. That stuff rocks! So good.
