The overnight sensation on the TV show "Britain's Got Talent, has been repeatedly attacked by a gang of teens near her home in England. It seems the group of teenagers up to 10-15 of them, enjoy picking on elderly and mentally ill people. Susan Boyle suffers from Asperger's syndrome, an outdated term for high level autism. The teens have routinely threw rocks at Boyle's car and it was reported one threw a bottle at her while she was waiting for a bus. The bottle came close to striking her head and Boyle was left "cowering in fear." You might remember Boyle's appearance on the Britain talent show, where she sang "I Dreamed A Dream" to great acclaim, finishing second in the contest. Ms. Boyle's neighbors have been trying to come to her aid to chase the teens away and have reportedly asked the police for assistance. Hopefully, something can be done to help her. Source: Yahoo news

I am so sick and tired of the teenagers of today @dgobucks226 . I wonder how they'd feel if someone treated their mothers like that.

They probably wouldn't care, since they're a bunch of losers with no conscience.

I agree, what happened to respecting other people. It seems these teens never received that lesson!

@dgobucks226 You're correct, it all starts with the family and apparently these kids weren't raised to respect others, if they were, they wouldn't go around attacking innocent people.

Just awful! She is such a sweet lady. I don't understand the teens picking on her like that? What kind of values are being taught to these teens anyway??

This is absurd, how youngsters are acting these days. Hope they will be caught and given disciplinary action- could be their parents/guardians be in trouble too, too bad :=(

I hope so too. Getting away with that behavior is unacceptable. The neighborhood needs to report any suspicious activity among teenagers where she resides.

This kind of behavior makes no sense. She's a frightened lady with a health condition. It was said the teens seek out these types of people to prey upon. disgusting!

I couldn't agree more I guess the parents of the teens spent little time disciplining them for inappropriate behavior? I'm really at a loss to understand why this goes on?

Susan is a wonderful human being that does not need some cretins who could carry her luggage to treat her that way.

Exactly! What kind of direction are these teens parents providing? Definitely not constructive. Do they even know their kids whereabouts?

@dgobucks226 Reading this broke my heart. I don't like hearing of people getting bullied in any form. And this way was so harsh and dangerous! Just disgusting! I hope those kids get whatever is needed to make them stop and learn that their actions are just pitiful!

I agree Dani! I don't know why some people feel entitled to pick on those who are shy, less fortunate, or perceived as different from the norm? I would not consider bullying others normal behavior

Poor thing. People can be so cruel at times, especially young people. I sure hope they outgrow their meanness and end up as decent human beings.

@dgobucks226 Yes, they do prey on those that cannot defend themselves. I hope someone will protect in the future. She should have bodyguards or someone to teach her how to defend herself.

She has got a great voice, I remember watching it on the Internet. It's a pity that the youth nowadays doesn't respect anybody! This behaviour is the result of too much liberty, as many parents nowadays are too busy working and don't dedicate enough time to their children for enough education. Hopefully, this situation may be sorted out soon.

@dgobucks226 Thank you. The education should start at home and is actually a big problem. Sometimes it's not how much time parents stay with their children, but the quality of time we give our children.

That comment is so right!! Your response is very insightful as one can notice a laxness today in teaching accountability for one's actions and being respectful of others. Also, you touched on something else with parents being not-present or involved enough during a youth's formative years.
