Photography is one of my hobby.
I know most of us like taking pictures especially now that smartphones provide good lenses.
But, I also knew a few people who doesn't like posing for a shoot.
I still have photo albums and scrapbooks which I keep updated for memories to lasts.
I also have videos saved on mini cd's for back up aside from saving it on laptop.
How about you dear mylotters?
Do you save your photos on Facebook album, or Google?
Do you still have hard copies for photo albums and scrapbooking?
Have a great weekend everyone

I have tons of printed photos, but it's sad that most of my pictures now are on my cell phone. I did recently have a few of the best ones printed at Walmart.

Just this past week I have been sorting through my stuff and photographs are a large part of my baggage that I carry around. I gave my son a pile of old photos since I'm only keeping the very best ones that mean something to me and he said, "wow, real photos printed on real paper, don't throw those away, don't you know how rare those are these days?!"
Even giving a bunch to each of my sons I'll have several hundred of them that I can't part with!
Between the photos and trying to cut down on the greeting cards I've saved over the years, there is a lot to do.

Yah, real photos printed these days becomes rare.
So, maybe one day (soon) those old photos, especially those white and black might costs us a treasure
I also have some greetings cards and other paper items that are worth keeping.

@dragon54u that's sweet of you to keep those cards
I can imagine how old the photos and the cards and I envy you for having those memories saved.
I only have a few old photos of my grandparents, how I wish they or someone family members are able to keep old photos of my great grandparents- but sad, seems like one have any.
This is the reason why I am trying my best to save printed photos for the next generation.

That's what I've observed.
With this technology most of us took pictures and saved on our gadgets.
I wish to be different and stay with the old school hobby of printing photo copies and put in albums.
But, I also love scrapbooking much where I can add more designs and other artistic way to keep the best memories to last.

We have photo albums from the 1800s that are of family members we never knew.
Tons of paper photos and photos online, on phones, etc. Perhaps we are just a little photo happy.

@jaiho2009 It is odd to view these as the people look so stern. It seems people did not start smiling or taking casual photos until 1940!

My mother was a photographer. She had about 60 years worth of albums, our family history in pictures from about 1935 I think. She stopped taking pictures in the late '90s when she couldn't see anymore. I'm not sure of the dates. I have the albums now. I don't take pictures and I never liked to have my picture taken. She used to drive me crazy - all my life it seemed like there was a camera in my face. But I'm glad I have the albums because that's all there is left, really, of my family. Pictures of better times.

@jaiho2009 Yes, I am lucky. Unbelievably, no one else wanted them. But I guess it was lucky for me that they didn't. Although I don't know what to do with them when it's time for me to get rid of things. I'm already old now. Someday the albums will have to go somewhere.....
