MY EXPERIMENT.

I haven't paid close attention to it before, but it's the beginning of a new month so I thought I would try a little experiment with earnings. I posted my last discussion on June 30 - and from then until now I have simply visited the site to deal with notifications, read posts and leave comments. So how much did I earn in two days without posting a discussion? - my bank shows a grand total of 19 cents, which confirms what we already know - that we must post if we are to earn a reasonable amount. There could be much different results for others of course, because I didn't make a note of the amount of time I spent here or the amount of interaction .
Earnings aside, I did mention in another post that since the beginning of summer, activity here seems to have slowed - with a sometimes 30-minute gap between posts. Therefore my plan for the summer months is to step up my posting a bit. Instead of my customary one post a day, I will try for two or three. I have already worked out a schedule, so there will be minimum interference with my offline projects. Happy summer time, happy posting.

Good you have made out a plan Kandase.
Whatever works for you is good. Good luck to you.
I just have fun here and only post a discussion when I find something interesting I think to share.
It is just easier for me, rather than trying to come up with something.
I am not here for the money more the interaction.

Posting often seems to be the trick to earnings. I'm here mostly for the friends so I am happy to just post occasionally

@Kandae11 Yes, I think most of us are. It's not bad to earn extra from extra posts if you have time though.

That is a good experiment. By all means post more discussions to read and respond.Best of luck.

Posting a discussion that attracts a lot of interaction really helps. But I remember there was one time that I earned more than 50 cents on one day just interacting on other people's posts without posting any discussion of my own. That was fun

@Kandae11 I can't remember exactly how long I spent, but definitely not all day because I can only manage to be on MyLot in between my (freelance) work.

I used to keep up with all that but I let the accountant in me go and I just post and comment and the bank seems to go up. Since I have an offline job or two I am not really concerned with making money online anymore. Back In the bubblews days I made a good $300 or more per month, I think that is why people worry about the earnings now.
But I always read your discussions because I find you and your life interesting.

I have never fared this badly in months. It used to be mostly 10 plus but this time it is only 7 plus. My activity is the same but I hardly get anyone responding to my discussions. There is a paradigm shift I notice. Users are moving elsewhere where there is more money

@Kandae11 Earning-wise I am not worried as I am doing great elsewhere but it is the interaction that I am missing here.

@allknowing I understand. It can't be any fun without interaction - that is the best thing I like about being here.

Hope your plan works for you. I am not going anywhere during the summer except for walks and of course my garden. Right now we have rain, rain and more rain. I think I will just try to get on here more often and see how things go during the summer months.

Without posts, the site can't survive. Yes, it does slow down during summers and holidays as people are getting out and enjoying the real world.

It was last year when I did a Mylot 30 Day Challenge. I posted one discussion per day. To keep up with it, I always think of a discussion that I can post the other day. It was possible and I get my earnings fast. Good luck on your experiment.

If you have news to share or something on your mind share it, I do.
I don't make a plan here, because i may not stick to it, but I just do what I can and be here as often as I can.. The weather is good now and something you need to be of the computer for a bit to enjoy other things.

I see it that way too @Kandae11 . I usually post 1 per day (sometimes missing a day or two) and I can see the difference. Today was the first time in quite a while that I posted 3 in one day.

@Kandae11 I don't want to drive people crazy with too many posts. And I agree about the slow internet thing.

Does this mean replying to the posts of others does not count?
