IN THE SPOTLIGHT

Whenever the camera focuses on the faces of one or two persons in an audience, do you notice the play of expressions on that person's face? - During those few seconds in the spotlight, that person may try to maintain a passive expression, titter, blink rapidly, appear poised or uncomfortable - or depending on the occasion - simply wave at the camera. What do you do when the camera is focused on you - do you pull a face or give it your best side? Many people love being in the spotlight , even in everyday life - do you?

There would have been very few occasions specially at a public function/programme when camera would focus on me. If I come to know that cameraman is focusing on me, I would like to show a smiling face and would waive my hand.

I don't like being in the spotlight, I don't mind a photo, but a camera being on me, no way, I would dive behind a chair or put a jacket over my head @Kandae11

It's been a while since the camera was pointed in my direction. I try to have a good expression.

@Kandae11 The last time any camera was on me in that regard was when I was in school. I sang in the choir and we would do Christmas concerts at the studio that were broadcast during the Christmas season. There was no opportunity to do anything more than sing and pay attention to the choral leader.

Better to know in advance, but you can't if you are in an audience and the camera focuses on you.

I don't really like being in the spotlight. Of course, playing gigs, there are lots of pictures of me out there. I try to focus on my instrument. I'm not good at "smiling for the camera."

No I dont care nor have I ever cared about being in the spotlight. Most of my life I have always worked behind the scene. For photos I smile but I have been know to do the goofy stuff in some photos, I got that from my dad.
